On the Move

Our little baby girl has finally decided to start the crawling process. She has gotten up on all fours and is scooting to get to things. She's so darn cute! When she sits up on her own, she throws her little hands in the air and then claps as if she wants to the whole world to be so proud of her. She tries to reach for things above her so I just know she will soon be pulling up. She has also gotten 2 new teeth within 2 weeks. Man, everything happens so fast. Before long she'll be chasing Kaden all over the place driving mommy crazy!

Wade got home from the hospital today and the kids were so happy to see him. Kaden ran through the door screaming, "Daddy!" Unfortunately Wade can't pick him up, but we modified enough to make it special for the both of them. Reagan just smiled ear to ear. She loves her daddy. She is definitely a daddy's girl.

Tomorrow I go back to work...at least for a day to get things ready for the coming days. I dread going back. If I could stay home I would. But, that's okay...we're moving right along!

Let the Rain Pour

So everyday is a new day for us. We sometimes find ourselves in a little routine doing the same thing day after day. It works for us. Our little family is complete and we have made the most beautiful babies in the world. Two babies and our biggest accomplishment in life. Wade is a gift from God. I often wonder if it is possible for anybody to really feel the way we do. If so, knowing how they feel, they are truly blessed. So day after day goes by and the kids grow what seems to be inches in a blink of an eye. Could life be any sweeter? But then life throws a little curve our way. Nearly 5 years ago Wade was was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma. He had a football sized tumor in his back. He had chemotherapy, radiation and then surgery to remove the tumor. All was wonderful for several years. Then January of last year, the bad news returned. They found several spots in his lungs. The year started off horribly wrong for us. I was 6 months pregnant and Kaden was 14 months at the time. Wade had surgery to remove the spots. Unfortunately, more returned and Wade had to have surgery again in October with another expected surgery a few months later. So, as of today, in one short year, Wade had 3 surgeries. And as I type now, Wade is in the hospital with what we hope and pray is his last surgery. So through it all, people have been amazingly supportive of us. We had a benefit to cover many of our hospital bills and the turnout was better than we ever even imagined! Everyday we smile, we stay strong for our kiddos, family and friends. But sometimes, somedays it is just so darn hard to put a smile on my face. I want more than anything to be strong for Wade. He is a fighter. He is the strongest person I know and I adore him for his strength and courage. So, when the rain pours down on us, I know an umbrella is just a few inches away. I take a deep breath, say a little prayer and move right along...through puddles and all.
