Little Things

When you have little kids, it's almost like you're able to relive your childhood. I miss those days. The carefree, simple days of playing outside until you were covered in dirt and so tired that you fell asleep at the dinner table. But now, it's up to us to make sure our kids make some of their own memories. There are so many things that happen in a day that I catch myself saying, "Man, I wish I caught that on tape." Like...

-Kaden getting the hiccups and saying "cuse me" after every little hiccup.
-after Wade walks away and I tell Kaden, "That's my daddy", he innocently looks at me with his head slightly tilted, pats me on the back two times and says, "No momma, that's MY daddy".
-Did you know there were monkeys in the trees? Apparently Kaden sees things I don't!
-getting so excited to see a "choo choo quain", "airquane" , and "cool bus"
-running to give me one more kiss 20 times before I am able to leave. "One more kiss momma. Wait! Big kiss momma!" This goes on and on.
-It carries on into the night time routine. Not only is it just him we have to kiss, but it's Woody and Buzz too.
-eating the most sour pickles and lemons and NEVER making a face.
-thinking it's his birthday everytime somebody sings happy birthday.
- playing with cars for hours.
- loving his sister, hugging and kissing her and making her laugh.

- Reagan's most beautiful smile and to die for eyes.
- the way she laughs at her big brother like nobody else.
- the special connection she has with her daddy (not to mention how much she looks like him).
- her stubborness is a little too much like her mommy.
- her little dimple that gets so deep when she smiles.
- playing pat a cake and actually rolling it up! She's such a big girl.
- getting those adorable teeth.
- crawling EVERYWHERE and trying so hard to pull up on anything she can.
- thinking she's just as big as her brother.
-smiling so big and crawling as fast as she can to get to us when we pick her up from Ms. Sharon's.
-crawling super fast when she thinks somebody's after her and then falling back and laughing so hard.
- daddy wrapping her up in a blanket and her falling back and laughing hysterically!

Man, I can only wish that one day my kids will truly understand how much love they have brought into our lives. How everyday is a new and exciting day and how everyday is full of so many new memories. I hope I can sit with them when I get older and remind them of all the little things that make me smile more and more everyday!
